What we collect

If you browse without an account:

Nothing personally identifiable. We collect anonymous usage data to improve the app: which features are used, events viewed, and basic session info (device type, language preference, theme setting). This data is identified only by a random session ID stored in your browser — no cookies, no IP addresses, no fingerprinting. No external analytics services.

If you create an account:

• Email address (for magic link login)
• Display name and optional profile info you provide
• Your event RSVPs and any events you create
• Your favourited hosts and users
• Usage data linked to your account (for personalised recommendations)

Why we collect it

To make the app work. That's it. We don't sell data, build ad profiles, or share your information with third parties for their marketing.

Where your data lives

EU servers (UpCloud, Sweden). Your data doesn't leave the EU.

Cookies & Sessions

We don't use cookies. Your login session and preferences are stored in your browser's local storage. No cookie banner because there are no cookies.

Your login session stays valid for up to a year with regular use (30-day access token, refreshed automatically). Magic sign-in links expire after 10 minutes for security. You can log out anytime from the main menu.

Your rights

GDPR gives you rights. Here's what you can do:

• Access: Ask what data we have on you
• Correction: Fix anything that's wrong
• Deletion: Delete your account and we'll remove your data
• Export: Get a copy of your data
• Complain: File a complaint with your local data protection authority if you think we've messed up

Data retention

Account data: kept while your account exists. Usage analytics: aggregated into daily summaries, raw event data retained for up to 90 days then deleted. Server logs: minimal, rotated regularly, no IP addresses stored long-term.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Major changes get announced.
